Earning
a degree online is NOT like
studying in a classroom. Here are
some tips to help you get the
most out of your online education
experience.
Establish a schedule that works
for you, with sufficient time to
complete your assignments. If you
work, you may need to study in
small segments of time as your
schedule allows. If you have
larger amounts of time available,
make sure you schedule your study
periods - don't just say to
yourself, "I'll get to it."
Let your friends and family know
what you're doing. When people
close to you know you're working
toward, they will be more
supportive when you allocate the
required amount of time to meet
your goals!
Make sure you have access to the
resources that can make you a
more successful student.
Consider, for example, finding a
"mentor" who can advise you on
your studies - maybe someone from
work. Also, make sure you have
ordered the proper course
materials, and see to it that you
have access to your school's
online library, or a local
library.
Make sure that you have the right
equipment - computer, software,
modem, etc. Click
